Sony: Walmart MAG 2 Product Page "was speculation/mistake"

More like sorry, game not announced.

Walmart has a product page for MAG 2 with a release date of January 25, 2011. This would be an incredibly short turnaround time for Zipper Interactive, especially given they are developing S.O.C.O.M. 4. Sony put a stop to this rumor though saying "That was speculation/mistake from Walmart, we definitely havent announced anything to them or publicly regarding a possible MAG 2." It appears that this rumor ends here, unfortunate news for MAG fans clamoring for a sequel.


We are still awaiting a response from Slant Six Games, developer of S.O.C.O.M.: Confrontation, if they are involved with a possible sequel to MAG.
